we-are-team

Our identity

We are a non-profit organization committed to the prevention and treatment of renal and nephro-urological diseases of children and adolescents with limited resources nationwide.

Purpose

Accelerate timely and quality access to children's nephro-urological health care, which today awaits.

Mission

To improve the care and treatment of low-income children with nephro-urological diseases in order to avoid end-stage renal damage, with a special focus on prevention.

Vision

To ensure that low-income children with renal and urological diseases have timely access to excellent diagnostic and treatment systems.

We have a track record of 28 years of uninterrupted service, which reflects our commitment and dedication. Throughout this time, we have experienced sustained growth, expanding our initiatives and programs. This has allowed us to serve a growing number of beneficiaries, improving the quality of life of those who need it most.

Our comprehensive approach encompasses not only prevention and treatment, but also education and awareness of kidney health. We ensure that every child and adolescent receives the appropriate care, providing a complete and quality service.

History

Dr. José Manuel Escala, a children's surgeon who worked in both the public and private services, when he saw that due to lack of resources for a timely diagnosis some patients were losing their kidney function, he called a group of friends to privately pay for the tests and thus help these children.

Thus, in 1994, with the firm commitment and solidarity of its founding partners, they gave life to the Corporación Renal Infantil MATER. This institution has not only become a beacon of hope for young patients and their families, but also represents a model of collaboration and altruism in the fight against childhood kidney disease. Its tireless work continues to be a testament to the power of empathy and collective action in the field of health.
