We join World Kidney Day!

Last Thursday, March 9, we lived a new day, a date established since 2006 with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of our kidneys and to promote the early detection of any condition to prevent kidney disease.

Thus, as MATER Corporation we adhere to this important day by performing various actions to promote this call in the community, including a free blood pressure test in Soto Aguilar fair (located next to our Diagnostic Center) where we deliver care tips and take the opportunity to publicize our cause; and an Instagram Live with our friend Nataly Chilet (@natychilet), host, model and influencer, who was talking with Constanza Olivares, nurse; Belén Sánchez, kinesiologist and Paola Mella, psychologist; about the importance of our kidneys and the work we do as MATER.

The call is to take care of yourself. For this reason, we leave you with the eight "golden rules established worldwide to keep our kidneys safe:

1.- Keep fit and active

Maintain regular control of blood glucose levels.

3.- Monitor your blood pressure

Eating healthy and keeping your weight under control.

5.- Maintain a healthy fluid intake.

6.- NO smoking

7.- DO NOT self-medicate

8.- Check your fun

The Corporation shared updates on its work and the initiatives it is carrying out in Region V to expand timely access to diagnostic services and surgeries for children with nephro-urological conditions.
This year, MATER has been able to care for more children in various parts of Chile, thanks to the grant from the Alegría Fund.
A total of 23 children were treated, and 24 surgeries were performed at San Camilo Hospital during the fourth campaign organized by Corporación MATER in partnership with the Aconcagua Health Service to help reduce waiting lists for pediatric surgery.
The Corporation participated in various sessions of the conference held in Santiago, addressing topics related to complex surgeries, the care of pediatric surgical patients, clinical simulation, and the analysis of results from the “Creciendo sin Espera” program.
Stays, getaways, dinners, tourist activities, and special products are all part of a new edition of Re-MATER. These various experiences can be purchased directly or through an online auction, which will remain open until October 9, and each bid will help support the mission of Corporación MATER.
During Matchday 20 of the Mercado Libre First Division, all club captains will wear a special armband featuring their club’s crest and the slogan “Healthy Kidney, Happy Child,” as part of the first initiative under this partnership.
