Surgical operation in Linares

For the fourth time, we went to the Maule region, where, together with the Linares Hospital, we helped children who were on the waiting list for surgery to avoid kidney problems.

On Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30, 14 patients diagnosed with kidney problems, intra-abdominal testicles and hypospadias, were able to have an operation to repair this problem, which should always be performed at an early age, although in many cases due to the lack of specialists it ends up being postponed, but thanks to the support of organizations these can be avoided, among them our Corporation.

We thank doctors José Manuel Escala, Raúl Encalada, María Solange Figueroa and Paola Ostermann; and the nurse coordinator of the surgical area and deputy director of health of the Corporation, Constanza Olivares; who attended voluntarily and on behalf of the organization; and the Hospital team led by the children's surgeon Dr. Eduardo Miquel, who made available two wards, performing the operations simultaneously. In addition to Dr. Gabriela Hernández and Dr. Simón Albarrán, and all the technical staff, who were essential to ensure the success of this crusade.

Thus, thanks to this great joint work, to date we have been able to perform 57 highly complex surgeries on children in Linares, andwe hope that this alliance will last over time so that we continue to have the opportunity to contribute to the health of the area.
