Corporación MATER in the field: we visited SEK Chile International School!

During the month of June we began our initiative to visit schools in various areas of Santiago with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of prevention of kidney disease, to publicize our work as MATER Corporation, and also to make a call to how they as young people can be an agent of change in this society through various solidarity actions.

Thus, the activity led by Constanza Olivares, nurse and Assistant Director of Health of the Children's Renal Corporation MATER; and María José del Pino, Coordinator of resources and alliances; began with their first visit to SEK Chile International School located in the district of Las Condes, who received us along with their students of 2nd and 3rd year with great enthusiasm and attention in the talk prepared for them.

During the day, Constanza Olivares, told them in detail about kidney disease, how to treat it, the care to be taken, the importance of having a healthy diet, among others. María José del Pino explained in detail about our Corporation, how the idea came about, where we are located and the facilities we have, allowing us to help children from all over Chile by providing them with quality care and preventing kidney disease.

Undoubtedly, it was a day full of solidarity and enthusiasm, where students were very motivated in our cause and how they can finally be an agent of change in this world by making small actions of solidarity.
