The course is organized by the MATER Children's Renal Corporation, which since 2013 has been promoting surgical operations to reduce the children's waiting list. In the last decade alone, MATER has performed more than 2,000 pediatric surgeries, many of them ambulatory and of low complexity.

Parallel activities and call for applications
In addition to the medical agenda, on Friday 29, a special day was held for non-medical health professionals - nurses, kinesiologists, nutritionists and psychologists - focused on the management of vesico-intestinal dysfunctions.
