Specialties

Psychological therapy helps children and adolescents regulate their emotions, behavior and relationships. We specialize in the comprehensive care of pediatric patients with chronic pathologies such as renal disease and incontinence.

Nutritional therapy is based on the evaluation of the child's nutritional status to identify his or her needs and develop a personalized feeding plan, focused on the treatment of chronic conditions and the promotion of healthy habits.

The reinforcement of urological and bowel habits includes accompaniment in the process of giving up diapers, education in clean intermittent catheterization and a bowel management program for patients with fecal incontinence or difficult-to-control constipation.

Pelvic floor kinesiology is a non-invasive and painless therapy that improves muscle control and treats dysfunctions such as incontinence, constipation, urinary retention and abdominal pain.

Examinations
Renal and Abdominal Doppler Ultrasonography
It is a type of ultrasound with which the blood flow through the renal and/or abdominal arteries and veins is studied, which allows to know its morphology, speed and resistance at a specific moment. The test lasts from 10 to 20 minutes.
- Estimated time of departure with test result: 1 hour.
- Bring original stamped medical order (if applicable).
- Do not discontinue medications if you are under treatment.
- No fasting in case of transplanted patients.
Renal and Vesical Ultrasound
It is an imaging test that studies the anatomical characteristics of the kidneys, ureters and bladder. The test is not painful. Sometimes it is necessary to apply abdominal pressure and this may cause slight discomfort. The exam lasts approximately 10 to 20 minutes.
- The patient should drink liquid (not gas) until he/she has the desire to urinate (Max. 500 ml), which should be informed in due time at the reception desk.
- Once admitted to the room, the patient will undergo a pre-micturition ultrasound (before urinating).
- In the event that you have been instructed to measure post-micturition residue, the physician will instruct you to urinate, and then resume the test in the post-micturition period (after you have urinated).
Abdominal Ultrasound
Imaging test that studies the main intra-abdominal organs. It is not a painful test, sometimes it is necessary to put pressure on the abdomen and this may cause discomfort. The exam lasts approximately 10 to 20 minutes.
Fasting range:
- 0 - 2 years: 2 hours fasting time
- 2 years 1 day - 4 years: 3 hours of fasting
- 4 years 1 day - 12 years: 4 hours of fasting
- Over 12 years old 1 day: 6 hours of fasting
Diabetic patients: 4 hours fasting.
Gynecologic and Pelvic Ultrasound

- Estimated time of departure with exam result: 1 hour
- Bring original stamped medical order (if applicable).
- All patients should drink plenty of non-carbonated liquid (max. 500 ml), retaining urine prior to the examination. Ideally, 2 hours of urine retention (notify the reception if the patient presents urinary desire or continence problems before the start of the exam).
